Whenever I speak with recruiters about SEO the first question I always ask is, “Why does your website only have eight pages?”.

The responses I received are varied but mostly they boil down to, “What else is there to say?”.

Well, I can definitely understand that sentiment.

It is a big problem when it comes to SEO.

Why?

Because websites with such little content will never generate search traffic.

If you want to dominate search results, your first step needs to be creating a page for every single search query that you want to target.

What does this look like in practice?

Imagine that you are a tech recruiter that specializes in finding the best programers on the market.

At the very least, you need separate pages with titles like JavaScript Recruiter, C++ Recruiter, Python Recruiter, PHP Recruiter, and Ruby on Rails Recruiter.

When I tell people they have to write that much content about a narrow topic, the most common objection is, “This is just so repetitive.”

You are right, it usually is.

But I did not make the rules so I cannot help you besides telling you exactly how Google wants you to structure your site.

Before we go, I want to give you a quick example of a recruiting firm that does this well.

Check out Lucas Group.

They have a page for every industry they work in because they understand how SEO works and how to take advantage of it.

For now, thanks for watching.
