Culture Amp Adds Roli Saxena to Board of Directors
Culture Amp, the Culture First employee feedback company, has named former LinkedIn and Clever sales executive Roli Saxena to their Board of Directors as an Independent Director.
Saxena joins the Board with decades of experience building and managing large global sales organizations. Early in her career at LinkedIn, she had Director-level roles managing Customer Success and Regional Sales divisions before taking full stewardship of the North American Sales – Enterprise and Mid-Market teams, the largest sales segment within LinkedIn Talent Solutions.
Culture Amp CEO and co-founder Didier Elzinga was introduced to Saxena last year through industry circles and he was immediately impressed by her dedication to her work and her proven track record. Specifically, Elzinga clocked Saxena’s hands-on experience with guiding both small to large sales organizations down the right path to tackle more expansive frontiers, while still maintaining and building a corporate culture, at scale.
“We’re thrilled that Roli accepted our offer to join the Culture Amp Board of Directors. With her fresh perspective, her passion for people and her focus on getting results across the organization, she is exactly the leader we were looking for to fill this important Board seat,” Elzinga said.
Saxena stated that her own career success with developing sales and customer-facing teams has a lot to do with her focus on building a culture and that’s what initially attracted her to Culture Amp.
“Culture is one of the key levers to help an organization go from good to great,” Saxena shared, acknowledging she has always been a fan of the pioneering employee engagement platform. “When I worked with Culture Amp’s platform at Clever, it was the most meaningful product that enabled me to run my organization effectively. Ultimately, I love the product and I have built deep trust in the leadership team. Didier and the Culture Amp leadership team truly live the Culture First mission, and that is why I wanted to sign on to help them raise the bar as they expand and grow.”
Saxena is a regular speaker in the area of Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging at Stanford Business School, and was the Founder of the Women in Leadership (Win) Initiative while at LinkedIn. In 2015 she was awarded the PBWC (Professional Business Women’s Conference) Industry Leader Award.
Saxena holds an MS in Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a MS in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University. In addition to her Board of Directors work, she mentors women sales leaders and advises multiple venture capital clients such as First Round Capital and Y Combinator.
