At SSR, we are constantly thinking of ways we can help push the HR/People/TA disciplines forward.  One avenue of attack we believe in is the power of strong social networks—offline and online.  We usually just call this “community.”

Getting together with the right people means a chance to ask the questions on your mind, or a way to share some of the tidbits you’ve learned.  Either way, it means we all collectively get smarter and better at what we do.

With all that in mind, we wanted to take on the very ambitious task of organizing a massive list of all local HR networking groups.  We debated also adding virtual groups into our list, but this is going to take a bit more time, and compiling the initial list was a lot of work within itself!  Stay tuned for that update :)

When we put together these sorts of resources, we find there are always so many people out there who have a tool, podcast, etc that we’ve never heard of.  So, we wanted a way to streamline adding new groups to this list.  If you have an organization that we missed, please take a second to fill out this form and we’ll add it to the list!

Our guess is this resource will continue to grow over time, and that we’ll figure out new ways of displaying this data to make it easy for people to connect with one another when they move to a new city, visit a new geography, or just want to start networking in their backyard but aren’t sure where to start.  For now, feel free to save this spreadsheet however you’d like so that you can filter by your location.

Ok, here’s the list.  Again, feel free to add to it, or download and sort by your local organizations.  Enjoy!
