Placement activity is hot globally among NPAworldwide members this year. With an extreme talent shortage, candidates are in charge. Salaries are increasing rapidly, with salaries above US $100K per year up roughly one-third compared to last year. Not only that, this salary level is now the leading sector for split placements this year. The largest fee shared so far this year is a whopping US $125K, which is at least partly due to a very high salary.
Overall placement numbers are also on the rise. Cash-in deals (the client has paid the invoice and both split partners have been paid) are up 18% compared to last year. New acceptances (candidate has accepted an offer, but has not yet started) have increased by a whopping 37% in the same time frame. Some of these will fall-off / no-start before anyone gets paid, but it is indicative of a very hot hiring climate. Members are reporting plentiful jobs and few candidates. The numbers of jobs being shared is at pre-pandemic levels.
