Millennials are increasingly leaving big cities to work remotely in other locations. For example, there is an ongoing exodus from California citing such issues as homelessness, high taxes in the bay area, and unaffordable housing have caused some to ask what's good about California and big city living? As a result, some places are paying workers to relocate to their location and continue working remotely for their existing employer.
