1. Sponsor your jobs.
Your company's job listings are already on Glassdoor, but when you sponsor your jobs, they get the boost they need to get top ranking and custom targeting - so instead of appearing on page 5 or 6, your jobs will appear first in search! It's one key way thriving companies attract and recruit high quality candidates across industries - from tech and finance to retail and manufacturing.
2. Update your company profile.
This section of a Glassdoor profile is all about getting the facts straight. It lists information such as company website, headquarters location, industry, and number of employees. Readers will note inconsistencies if it differs from information published elsewhere.
3. Add a company logo and photos.
On Glassdoor, your logo is essentially your profile picture. Make sure it's updated. And add photos of employees, the building, and your office space to give candidates a better idea of what to expect when they arrive for the interview.
4. Respond to reviews.
Nothing says transparency like responding to both negative and positive reviews. By addressing concerns and thanking employees for their contribution, your company sets an example that management cares. For step-by-step tips and advice on best practices, download our Templates for Hiring Pros: How to Respond to Reviews.
5. Analyze your performance.
With free analytics you're granted access to with a Glassdoor Free Employer Account, you can see who's viewing your profile, view candidate demographics and engagement metrics. Start with the basics to better understand your audience on Glassdoor.
6. Be the first to know.
Glassdoor Free Employer Account holders can set notifications for their company profiles. Sign up to get alerts when new reviews are posted to stay on top of your profile!
7. Publish Company Updates.
Launch a new product line or win an award? The company update section is the perfect place to share information that matters to candidates, not just customers or investors. Think of it as your employment press page.
8. Promote your profile.
Do candidates know they can find out more about your company on Glassdoor? Include a link to your Glassdoor profile in emails and post a badge on your website. Whether your company has an above average rating or not, acknowledging your Glassdoor account demonstrates that it's willing to show itself, warts and all. And if you've taken all of the above steps, your profile will be more likely to stand out.
9. Encourage employee feedback.
A few of the steps in our Open Company program are responding to reviews and promoting your profile. Stressing the importance of leaving Glassdoor reviews to your employees and asking them for their honest feedback will help you gather employee sentiment and see where you excel and where you could improve. Mention leaving reviews in onboarding sessions, company huddles or in email reminders!
