Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards Honors Glassdoor

Alongside Glassdoor client Aegis Living, an assisted living and memory care provider based in Napa, Calif., Glassdoor is proud to have been awarded “Best Recruitment Marketing and Employer Branding Program” in the recent Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards Program.

Aegis Living is awesome at recruitment marketing

While we’re delighted to accept this honor, we want to spotlight all the great work Aegis Living is doing with Glassdoor to fuel its branding and recruiting success.

In an industry where some estimates put annual staff turnover upwards of 100 percent, one of Aegis Living’s biggest challenges has been finding a way to tell potential candidates that it’s the kind of company worth sticking with long term. Aegis Living is always looking for new ways to keep employees satisfied and engaged at work, prevent turnover by focusing on culture, and tell its story.

Why Aegis Living partnered with Glassdoor

Prior to engaging with Glassdoor, Aegis Living kept hearing from job candidates that they visit Glassdoor to research companies before accepting employment offers. This led Aegis Living to prioritize Glassdoor in its recruiting strategy with goals of increasing candidate awareness and solidifying its reputation as one of the best employers in the industry.

Upgrading to a Glassdoor Enhanced Profile, Aegis Living began showcasing its employer story with dynamic branded content, including “why work for us” messaging, videos and social media integration. On its profile, Aegis Living also started promoting open positions with a direct jobs feed from its career site.

It took only a few days on Glassdoor for Aegis Living to see results, including an uptick in profile visits. Aegis Living watched its Glassdoor traffic double from 1,000 to 2,000 monthly visits in the two quarters following implementation and to 5,000 monthly visits, as of January 2015 (Source: Glassdoor Employer Center).

What made Glassdoor different?

There are many success drivers for Aegis Living on Glassdoor. First, the company is able to share its employer voice and explain what makes it unique. Aegis Living also gives employees a voice in showcasing its culture in a candid, transparent way. Lastly, Aegis Living can easily monitor its metrics and track success.

Continued success

Since implementation, Aegis Living has seen a tremendous return on its investment with Glassdoor. Delia Dawson, Aegis Living’s Director of Recruitment, says, “as many as 20 percent of prospective employees are reviewing Aegis Living as a place to work through Glassdoor. This is a big help in finding the best employees.”

As Aegis Living uses the newly redesigned Glassdoor Employer Center to monitor its reputation, it constantly looks for ways to improve. The effort is paying off: Aegis Living is proud to announce that its commitment to culture and employee well being has earned it a 4.7 out of 5 overall rating on Glassdoor. Additionally, 93 percent of current and former employees would recommend Aegis Living to a friend.
