Notes from the Road: Best Places to Work Highlights

We’re just back from a tour of 10 cities where we hosted frank conversations with Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work winners for 2017. At each stop, the energy in the room was off the charts, and each company that participated shared inside information about the specific strategies that led to their tremendous employee approval.

Winning a Glassdoor Best Places to Work award and earning a spot on the popular list is a unique honor and achievement. These select companies have embraced the ideas of openness and transparency, and it’s paid off in employees who love working at their companies, which are reflected in positive employee reviews.

Creating a great place to work is good for business – Best Places to Work companies financially perform 122% better than the S&P 500* – and good for the employees who work at these companies. Creating a happy workplace impacts the lives of employees as well as their families and the communities in which they live.
