Video: Ditching a Candidate for Asking About Salary?!

Back in March, I wrote about a news story where a company canceled a candidate's second interview after she emailed the recruiter to ask about compensation and benefits for the position.

Of course, this left a bad taste in my mouth. I mean, what is the right time to ask for this information? Better yet, if companies share this information up front in their job postings, would that eliminate these situations from happening?

Check out this short video where I lay out the pros and cons of including pay ranges on job postings.

What do you think? When is the right time to talk about pay? Is it a good or bad idea for companies to post their pay ranges in their job postings?
