📼The product and design team works cross-functionally on a day-to-day basis with teams all across uShip. It focuses heavily on building an understanding of its users, understanding the needs of its stakeholders, and building an exceptional experience for customers. To do this, they ask a ton of questions. They also brainstorm with other cross-functional members, as well as gather feedback from both internal and external members. This helps the product and design team ensure that they're making decisions that best fit the needs of customers.

📼The product and design team’s performance is evaluated through collaboration, communication, and consistency. Team members must effectively collaborate with other members in different departments, should easily communicate with customers, as well as stakeholders and other team members, and should also consistently give information and updates about things that they're thinking about, how they're thinking about them, and what problem areas they're looking to solve.

The product and design team actively encourages inclusion in a handful of ways. Authenticity is one of its core values, and they encourage team members to take their most authentic selves to work. For example, team members are encouraged to include their preferred pronouns in communication channels.
