On November 28-30, 2017, NITI Aayog in partnership with the Government of the United States of America hosted the 8th annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in Hyderabad, India. The summit was addressed by The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, Ms. Ivanka Trump, Advisor to President Trump, and many more luminaries from the world of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Ivanka expressed her heartfelt gratitude and admiration for India’s progress in the field of technology & innovation and reinforcing its ties with the US. She also remarked on the perseverance and innovation of indian entrepreneurs.

Your doctors and scientists are discovering medical cures and life-saving technologies. Your engineers and architects have built modern wonders that grace your skies.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the contribution of women in entrepreneurship and stated,
“Here at the GES, more than 50 percent of the delegates are women. Over the next two days, you will meet many women who have dared to be different, in their own walks of life. They now inspire a new generation of women entrepreneurs. I hope the deliberations in the summit would focus on how women entrepreneurship can be further supported.”
