And it's up to us to use AI technologies in a way that’s inclusive and fair.
Understanding how to navigate AI responsibly isn’t just a nice-to-have skill, it’s essential for our productivity, safety, and professional growth. We understand that building this skill isn’t as straightforward as it sounds, which is why we created a course on how to use AI inclusively.
Introducing Inclusive AI Usage
In this course, we’ll talk about how machine learning technology works and ways to ensure your AI use is as inclusive and unbiased as possible. It’s broken down into 3 modules:
Module 1:Understanding Machine Learning — In this module we dive deep into what AI is and how it works. We cover key vocabulary and concepts that will help you better navigate the course content moving forward. Lastly, we share some of the benefits of AI as well as its limitations, setting the stage for the following two modules.
Module 2:Main Uses of AI — The second module focuses on some of the main AI technologies we can harness for productivity, such as for copywriting, image generation, coding assistance, and more. In each lesson, we outline how these technologies work, tips on how to integrate them into your personal and professional life, and ethical red flags to keep in mind as you use them.
Module 3: Inclusive Practices for AI Use — In the final module, we hone in on the importance of using AI from a lens of inclusion, and things to consider when adopting AI into your daily life. This module includes a lesson on how to write inclusive prompt commands for generative AI.
Throughout the course, we give learners the opportunity to test their knowledge with quizzes and assessments, deepen their understanding with resources and templates, and share their learnings in the PowerUp learning community.
