Juneteenth is a company-wide holiday we celebrate at Proactive Talent.
Below is the Out Of Office holiday message I will be using while I am away. I am sharing it for the benefit of others whose companies also remember the holiday. Perhaps it will serve as inspiration for those formulating their own away messages? Feel free to adapt for your particular situation.

Our offices are closed on Monday, June 20th in commemoration of Juneteenth, which takes place this year on Sunday, June 19th. In the event you are unfamiliar with the holiday, I am sharing its history and a few related resources.
"Juneteenth (short for “June 19th”) marks the day when federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas in 1865 to take control of the state and ensure that all enslaved people be freed. The troops’ arrival came a full two and a half years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth honors the end to slavery in the United States and is considered the longest-running African American Holiday. On June 17th, 2021, it officially became a federal holiday.
