The 10 Must-Read Articles for Recruiters This Week

Top stories of the week for recruiters

In a recent article, The New York Times suggests that companies that are struggling to fill open roles could find a solution by improving their efforts to attract and retain Gen Z workers.

“The goal,” reports the Times, “is not only to get younger employees through the door but also to keep them in their jobs, not an easy feat. Surveys show that younger workers are comfortable switching jobs more frequently than other generations. But, with these efforts, many companies have so far avoided the labor shortages afflicting their competitors.”

So what are companies doing to lure the youngest generation in today’s workforce? The Times highlights generous benefits and perks ranging from four-day workweeks and work-from-anywhere policies to bring-your-dog-to-work days and extensive mental health programs.
