Last year marked the first ClearanceJobs Connect, and with so much success in bringing together industry recruiters, government leaders, and other talent acquisition advisors with stake in the cleared recruiting game, ClearanceJobs Connect is again coming to the Hyatt Regency in Reston Town Center this week.

Hosts of the Security Clearance Careers podcast come together to talk about what attendees can expect this year, including what things will look different.

ClearanceJobs Connect is the ONLY event focused on security cleared recruiting, and features government speakers from the National Counterintelligence and Security Center, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, and Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals. You will learn the latest security clearance policies, the most innovative cleared recruiting ideas, and an opportunity to network with fellow secret squirrel recruiters.

In addition to receiving some of the coolest swag on the market, hundreds of recruiters and security personnel will hear the state of the industry and why the cleared workforce is ready for its ‘Wild Bill’ moment, spark sessions on the future of cleared work and cleared candidates,  an update on security clearance vetting, how to create a hiring culture that recruiters can implement in their own organizations, and the importance of recruitment marketing by Evan Lesser, founder and president of ClearanceJobs.

ClearanceJobs Connect 2022 will also help professionals toward SHRM recertification, and attending the conference will earn attendees 7 Professional Development Credits (PDC).

SECURITY CLEARANCE TRACK

One of the key differences this year is that the morning session will lead into an afternoon offering two different tracks. With popularity on security clearance topics and what policy means for cleared recruiting, this breakout will feature Mark Frownfelter, Assistant Director for the Special Security Directorate at the NCSC, Perry Russell-Hunter of DOHA, security clearance attorney and ClearanceJobs contributor Sean Bigley, and a panel with multiple contractors on security as a hiring growth engine.

RECRUITMENT BREAKOUT

The recruiting breakout room will focus on addressing problems and implementing solutions in diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility within hiring (with RAND Corporation and Guidehouse), reaching more veteran talent (by Hiring Our Heroes), how to create new talent pools in the federal space (with Skillstorm), and a panel showcasing survival tips for today’s cleared recruiter.

We are incredibly passionate about our talent acquisition partners, but also know how challenging it is to hire in this landscape. Our hope is that ClearanceJobs Connect 2022 helps recruiting and security leaders to leave the jam-packed day with a new contact or connection, or an actionable insight to help them be successful in their recruitment practices for the next year and beyond.
