Gratitude: Year 1 of Three Ears Media

I’ll be sending this to all of my customers in 2018 and wanted to share with all of you, too. Everyone who reads this has an impact (I just can’t afford to send you all mugs).

——–

I spent a lot of time mocking reflection letters around the holiday as a kid but now that I’m an adult, I guess I understand. There’s a lot to be grateful for. So many stories to share. It would be hard to remember them all at a moment’s notice when your pen is in hand, under pressure to deliver the perfect custom holiday greeting.

As this is the first holiday season for Three Ears Media, I wanted to take a moment to write a quick letter to share with each of you, my clients. You are the reason I’m writing this letter at all.

Not just because you pay the bills (which, of course, I appreciate) but because you have saved me in so many more ways than that.

You were there to provide the feedback we needed to do and be better as a company. When we celebrated, you celebrated with us and cheered us on as we launched new ideas.

You were the ones who thought of us first. In a sea of writers and recruitment marketing options, you chose us.

For that, I’ll always be grateful.

This first year has been a constant evolution and your support has made that possible. As we grow into our future and refine our story, know that you’re part of it. Every laugh, every frustration, every story you shared has helped me understand your world so much better.

Whether you knew it or not, you’ve helped me build Three Ears into what it is today. You were the ones who reminded me that the way we tell stories can change everything. That if we listen first, we can do better. That we should be helping people learn how to write like that, and doing some of the writing too.

So as a small token of my appreciation, I wanted to send you this pottery. I don’t know about any dietary restrictions or preferences so instead, I have these mugs. They’re handmade here in Longmont Colorado by my incredibly talented mother-in-law. On the bottom of each, you’ll find a custom Three Ears Media Stamp.

A reminder of how you’ve made a mark on this company.

We (the dogs, my team, my wife and I) wish you all the best in 2019.
