Internet Browsing Not as Anonymous as You Think

Staffing Talk

I could also call this post “How to Generate Leads from ‘Anonymous’ Website Visitors”. In the graphic below you can see that Ceridian spends some amount of time tracking Tempworks, and if you look closely at the ‘referring URL’ line you can see the shortened URL at Ceridian that linked to this blog. No big deal except that Ceridian is a payroll company and should take internet security more seriously by not revealing that they have a dedicated internal page for us.

How to Use Press Releases in the Age of Social Media

Staffing Talk

Gary Vaynerchuk of Wine Library fame keeps me thinking, and certainly his message of passion and social media make sense for anyone wanting to create a candidate community or promote their recruitment services not to mention their staffing software company. But his latest diatribe against press releases goes too far. As often happens with purveyors of modern day versions of the Dale Carnegie gospel, their message gets stale and they invariably cop out to the very entities that they attack.
