Acara’s Nigel Hapuarachchi Nominated for Business Person of the Year by Mississauga Board of Trade

Nigel Hapuarachchi, Acara’s Regional Director of Business Development, has been nominated for Business Person of the Year by the Mississauga Board of Trade (MBOT). Acara has also been nominated for MBOT’s Inclusive Employer of the Year Award. 

The Mississauga Board of Trade is a nonprofit representing over 1,500 businesses that employ 65,000 people in the region. 

Nigel joined Acara in 2019 and has been instrumental in growing the business in Canada, as well as the United States. He is a trusted advisor to Acara’s clients in many industries, helping them solve a broad range of workforce and talent acquisition challenges. He also serves as a mentor to his colleagues and staff, providing them with the support, learning, and development opportunities they need to succeed. 

Nigel is a natural collaborator and connector and is an invaluable member of our team. He also serves on Aleron’s DEIB Committee. 

Winners will be announced during the organization’s 2024 Business Awards of Excellence event on May 9 in Mississauga.
