Glassdoor Now #2 Largest Job Site in U.S.

Job seekers today want to find the right job with as little stress and time spent as possible. As the #2 job site in the U.S. (1), Glassdoor makes it easy by providing all the information job seekers need to make the right choice, all in one place. More than 45 million people visit Glassdoor every month to search for jobs across all industries.

So what sets Glassdoor apart? In a new survey from Harris Poll, participants were shown five blinded job search sites and asked to rate their preference. Over one third (34%) preferred Glassdoor over the competition, including LinkedIn, Indeed and Monster. (2) When asked why they liked Glassdoor, the top three reasoners were:

  • It's easier to read
  • It provides the information necessary for making an informed decision
  • It's more engaging

The survey also revealed that 93% of job seekers want to be informed about all aspects of a company prior to accepting a job - and that for 72%, the salary and compensation package is a top consideration. (3) This data echoes what Glassdoor hears directly from job seekers about what matters most to them.

Over the past year we've improved our job search experience to not just meet expectations, but to exceed them. With Glassdoor, job seekers can:

"Job seekers consistently report that they want more pay information before applying to a job. They don't want to waste time applying and interviewing for jobs that don't meet their needs and expectations. We believe salary estimates in job listings will better match the right people with the right employers by removing the guesswork that surrounds pay when applying to a job,"  said Heather Gordon Friedland, Glassdoor chief product officer.
