Since The Muse launched over five years ago, our founders Kathryn and Alexandra have learned a lot about what candidates are looking for both in a career and in a company—so much so, that they decided to write a book about it called The New Rules of Work: The Modern Playbook to Navigating Your Career, which officially came out in April.

You might be wondering, “Isn’t this book meant to help job seekers?” The short answer is: Yes! But, the way we see it, only good things can come from employers gaining a deeper understanding of what job seekers and current employees alike want (and need) in order to be happy in their work-lives. And that’s exactly why we’re rolling out a three-part series that dives into these new rules—and explores how employers can adapt.
