After a successful tour in recruiting, I was sent to the Naval Postgraduate School and earned a master’s degree in information technology management. After several assignments in IT leadership roles, I decided to leave the Navy and joined Microsoft and eventually returned to my passion as a recruiting professional.

There’s some myth that this information is somehow inconsequential when looking for a job, that stating your salary may seal your fate by knocking you out of the process. There is no reason for anybody in your possible next employer to be made privy to your personal financial information. They have pay scales.
